WHY THIS FELLOWSHIP
Communities Need Their Own Trusted Guides
Across Africa and the diaspora, there is a shortage of professionals trained to help communities navigate DNA, ancestry, and genetic health in a culturally grounded way. Many families have questions about family history, genealogy, and inherited health risks, but few trusted local professionals to turn to.
The AfriGenetry Link Fellowship trains the workforce from within the communities it will serve, so knowledge and trust are built where they are needed most, rather than brought in from the outside.
