AfriGenetry Link (AGL), a global nonprofit organization advancing genetic health awareness, ancestral identity restoration, and Africa–diaspora reconnection, is proud to announce Nigerian comedian and cultural icon Klint Da Drunk as the Community Ambassador for the GenAfrica Initiative in Nigeria.
The GenAfrica Initiative is AfriGenetry Link’s flagship platform designed to strengthen genetic literacy, preventive health education, family identity clarification, ancestral restoration, and diaspora reconnection across communities on the continent and the diaspora.
The initiative combines community access, mobile service delivery, and workforce development through three major implementation pillars across Africa and the diaspora:
1) Community Free DNA Pop-Up Events
Free community-based DNA awareness events that bring ancestry discovery, preventive genetic health education, family identity clarification, and heritage restoration directly to local communities.
2) Mobile DNA Clinics — DNA on Wheels
A continent-wide mobile outreach model that expands the community DNA pop-up events into underserved and remote communities.
These mobile clinics will deliver:
DNA awareness and ancestry services
preventive genetic health education
family identity and lineage clarification
community screening and referral pathways
diaspora reconnection support
This ensures that rural and hard-to-reach populations are not left behind.
3) Community Genetic Counselors & Genealogists Training Program
A long-term workforce development model focused on training a new generation of African community genetic counselors, genealogists, and DNA literacy ambassadors.
This pillar helps build local African capacity in:
family history documentation
ancestry interpretation
ethical community DNA education
hereditary health risk awareness
community counseling and trust-building
The long-term goal is to create a sustainable workforce that can lead genetic literacy, heritage preservation, and community DNA education across Africa.
Through this partnership, Klint Da Drunk will support community engagement, public trust-building, and national awareness efforts for the upcoming GenAfrica Community Free DNA Pop-Up Events and Mobile DNA Clinics in Nigeria.
According to Princess Ndupu, Founder and Executive Director of AfriGenetry Link, the collaboration represents an important milestone in increasing public trust and expanding access to ethical DNA education.
“Our mission is to connect heritage, health, and healing through ethical DNA awareness. Trusted cultural voices like Klint Da Drunk help us bring these conversations into everyday spaces where families feel comfortable learning about their health, family identity, and ancestral roots.”

The GenAfrica Initiative also responds to the underrepresentation of African populations in global genomic data, while creating ethical pathways for ancestry verification, family identity clarification, paternity awareness, and education on hereditary health conditions affecting Black communities, including sickle cell disease, hypertension, diabetes, and hereditary cancers.
The initiative is built around four major community benefits that help African families immediately understand the value of DNA awareness:
1) Genetic Health Shield
DNA awareness helps individuals understand inherited risks for conditions common in African populations, empowering families to make informed lifestyle, prevention, and health decisions early.
2) Family Truth & Lineage
The initiative creates ethical pathways for family identity clarification, paternity awareness, inheritance confidence, and household peace of mind, helping families build trust on truth and transparency.
3) Diaspora Reconnection
DNA serves as a bridge between Africans on the continent and relatives in the diaspora, creating pathways for reconnection, emotional healing, heritage restoration, and even community investment opportunities.
4) Ancestral Library & Cultural Preservation
The program supports the preservation of oral histories, family trees, and ancestral identity so future generations will always know where they come from.
As Community Ambassador, Klint Da Drunk will help promote public engagement around these community benefits and encourage participation in DNA-awareness activities nationwide.
The long-term vision of GenAfrica is to build sustainable systems that strengthen genetic health awareness, preserve African heritage, restore family identity, train African professionals, and improve preventive health outcomes across Africa and the global African diaspora.
AfriGenetry Link is also establishing partnerships with academic institutions, public health leaders, and community organizations to ensure the initiative is implemented ethically, responsibly, and at global standards.
